Seeing my Micro.blog profile in a Mastodon app, where my username is @joe@joeross.me, really makes me want to use it as my primary fediverse account. I just find the transfer process daunting, and I recall Mb may not be a full implementation of an ActivityPub account, though maybe that has changed.


MB doesn’t implement likes or boosts, but replies and content publishing work seamlessly. Other people can boost or like your posts you just won’t see that or know about it. You also cannot use a Mastodon app to log in with your MB account. You’d have to use the MB apps.

@jsonbecker Thanks for this summary! I’m keeping this handy for ease of reference. I like my quiet Mb app so I expect I’ll maintain the silos. If full on Mastodon instances are public squares, I think of Micro.blog as a courtyard shared by tenants of the same apartment community.
